🔑 Sales Stat of The Week:
“57% of C-Suite buyers prefer outreach by phone (meaning a rep calls them on the phone), but only 37% of reps report closing most deals via cold calling.” (Hubspot)
There are a couple of items to unpack here. First, over half of high-level decision-makers prefer phone ☎️ communications over email, social, or other forms of communication. That’s a key stat to understand. Second, there’s a 20% gap between reps who report closing opportunities using the phone, versus the preference from the customer side.
Smells like an opportunity to be different from you’re competitors!

📊 Weekly Financial Forecast:
Are businesses absorbing the tariffs or passing them on to their customers? What the data is showing is that nearly a third of manufacturers and about 45% of service firms passed along all tariff-induced cost increases by raising their prices.
Furthermore, over half of both manufacturers and service firms reported raising prices within a month of experiencing tariff-related cost increases, with many doing so within a day or a week. Another quarter indicated they had raised prices (or planned to do so) within one to three months of such cost increases, while few were waiting longer than three months.
Business expect to pass through roughly half of tariff-related expenses to US consumers still reeling from the pandemic-era inflation surge, according to a new survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
