Sales is not about positioning a product or service. From the beginning, it’s about creating trust in the window of relationship that you’re given.
What does that mean?
If you’re selling in an industry that ‘allows’ multiple cold calls, engagements, or meetings with prospects, you’re automatically gifted the opportunity to build trust (which brings you closer to selling your actual product/service). The reps that can balance relationship building are the ones that ultimately close at 30% or higher.
If you’re selling in an industry where prospects expect to see you once or twice, you’ve got it much harder! You have to be able to find relatability that much quicker, at the same time, finding ways to sell solutions (not features).
Focusing on the relationship… even if you’re an inside Account Manager, will ultimately bring you closer to closing at a higher percentage, and ultimately winning more than you lose.

📊 Weekly Financial Forecast:
The U.S. budget deficit surpassed $1 trillion for the fiscal year through February but was sharply lower than the same period a year earlier, Treasury Department data showed Wednesday.
Outlays exceeded receipts by $308 billion in February, roughly in line with the deficit recorded in the same month a year ago. For the fiscal year to date, the deficit totaled $1.004 trillion, about 12% lower than the comparable period in 2025, as government revenues rose faster than spending.
